If you have COVID symptoms, please call 111 or visit the www.gov.uk website, please isolate until advised.
As you will all be aware, we will be in a another lockdown from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December.
It’s important to remember, the surgery will still be open from 8am to 6.30pm. Monday to Friday.
You can still have an appointment with a clinician.
All appointments will be a telephone review in the first instance, unless advised when booked with reception.
Flu clinics will still go ahead in a safe environment.
Please remember all the safety rules, wearing a mask, washing your hands regularly and social distancing.
When attending a face to face appointment at the Whitchurch Surgery, please use the front window to book in with the receptionist, wearing a mask when approaching. A clinician will come and collect you. We have a one way system, so please exit from the side door after your appointment.
At Derry Down Clinic, we operate a “one in, one out” system in reception. Please be patient and allow the person in front to leave the building before entering. Social distancing outside.
This is for your own safety, so please wear appropriate clothing in the winter months ahead and when attending, only arrive 5 minutes before your appointment please.
This is a busy time for the NHS so please bear with us, we know our telephone lines are busy, but they are manned.
For prescriptions, you can order online, including using the NHS app if you have a smart phone. Via our letterbox or telephone. We do try and discourage handing over items to reception, for everyone’s safety where possible.
You can contact the practice via the website and ask the clinician a question, or ask for sick notes, medication requests, referrals etc. Please do not use this if it is an emergency. This is a 48 hour response system where possible.
For non urgent calls, please call after 14:00 where possible.
For regular updates please visit the www.gov.uk website.
Please stay safe and look after each other.
